# I switched payment gateways. Why does the old one still show on my invoice?

Setting up a new payment gateway does not update the payment gateway on your existing invoices. Invoices that were already sent keep the payment gateway that was enabled when they were created.

To collect payment through the new gateway on an existing invoice:

*   Go to **Invoices** and open the invoice.
*   Click **Edit**.
*   Under _Select an online payment option to get paid faster_, unmark the old payment gateway and mark the new one.
*   Click **Save**.
*   Resend the invoice to your customer.

Your customer can now pay the invoice through the new payment gateway.
