Deflation

Deflation is when the overall prices of goods and services in an economy decrease over time. This means that a certain amount of money can buy more than it used to. While it may seem beneficial, deflation can lead to reduced spending, lower business profits, and higher unemployment as people may delay purchases in hopes of even lower prices in the future.
