taxes

What is the difference between tax modules of Global, U.S, U.K, Canada and Australia editions of Zoho Books?

US Edition: Here you will have to enable sales tax to start creating new taxes for different states. You will have to create a new tax with fields such as Tax Name, Rate(%), Tax Authority.

Canada Edition: Here you will have to enable taxes to start creating new taxes for different states. You will have to create a new tax with fields such as Tax Name, Rate(%), Tax Agency and Tax Registration Number.

Organisations based out of U.S.A. and Canada can also integrate with Avalara for address verification and automatic tax calculation.

Global Edition: Here you can create taxes pertaining to your country. You can create a new tax with a Tax Name and Rate(%).

UK Edition: Value Added Taxes(VAT) are the default taxes in the UK edition. Standard Rate(20%), Reduced Rate(5%) and Zero Rate(0%) are preset taxes that are available in this edition. Users can also generate VAT returns and EC Sales list reports based on the applied VAT rates.

Australia Edition: The Taxes module in the Australia edition is similar to the Global edition. Once the taxes have been added and associated with transactions, you can generate the Business Activity Statement(BAS) for your organisation.
