I have created a custom field at the customer level, and I want it to be automatically applied when I create an invoice. What should I do?

You can create a custom field at the invoice level and use the Inherit Value option to automatically pick the value while creating the invoice.

Here’s how you can create a custom field:

  1. Click the Settings icon at the top right corner.
  2. Go to Sales and choose Invoices.
  3. Select the Field Customization tab.
  4. Click + New Custom Field at the top right corner of the page.
  5. Enter the details and choose the corresponding data type.
  6. Click Inherit Value near the Default Value field.
  7. Choose Customers from the dropdown and select the required custom field.
  8. Click Save to complete the process.

Now, when you create an invoice for a customer, the custom field value from the customer record will be automatically applied to the invoice.
