Is there a Sri Lanka IRD-compliant invoice template in Zoho Books?
Zoho Books supports a standard invoice template that complies with the Sri Lanka Inland Revenue Department (IRD) guidelines for Tax Invoices. This template aligns with the Tax Invoice Specification prescribed by the IRD under Gazette Extraordinary No. 2481/22.
To create a new invoice using the Sri Lanka IRD-Compliant Invoice Template:
- Go to Settings.
- Select PDF Templates under Customization.
- In the Templates pane, select Invoices.
- Click + New in the top-right corner.
- In the Choose a Template page, hover over the Standard - Sri Lanka IRD Style template and click Use This.
- In the Edit Template page, make the necessary changes to the template.
- Click Save.
To set this template as the default invoice template for your organization:
- Hover over the template and click the Gear icon.
- Select Set as Default from the dropdown.
All invoices generated in your organization will use the Sri Lanka IRD-Compliant Invoice Template.
Note: The Supply Date is a mandatory field under the IRD specification. To enable this field in your invoices, go to Settings > Sales > Invoices, navigate to the Fields tab, hover over the Supply Date field, click the dropdown next to it, and select Mark as Active. Once enabled, you can enter the Supply Date/Service Period when creating or editing an invoice. This date will be reflected in the Sri Lanka IRD-compliant invoice template.
