What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol that establishes the standardized way applications can interact with Large Language Models (LLMs). An MCP allows you to carry out your desired workflow on your preferred LLMs by providing the instructions to an AI model in the proper context.
With an MCP, you can instruct popular AI agents, or even custom AI agents, to interact with native or third-party applications and complete complex workflows with little to no human intervention.
Zoho Cliq MCP Server
The Zoho Cliq MCP Server brings your chats into the world of AI using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This open protocol defines how AI agents can connect to real-world tools and data sources in a structured, predictable way.
The following diagram will provide you with an overview of what Zoho MCP will allow your AI agents to achieve:

Any AI model or agent can use our official MCP server to access your Cliq data and do:
More work, less chat: Send quick messages to colleagues or groups with prompts like, "Post a product launch announcement in the #marketing-updates channel" or "Schedule a message about the agenda of the competitor campaign to the brand strategy group chat."
Never miss a beat: Set reminders for yourself or others, such as "Alert the product team to test the beta by Wednesday" or "Cue the sales lead for the client pitch tomorrow," and adjust or reassign them as needed when work shifts.
Organize your chats: Create channels on the fly for new projects, archive old ones like "Last Year's Audit" to stay current, and moderate your channels by deleting messages, viewing participants, or updating details.
Have focused discussions: Start targeted threads like "Q4 Strategy 2026" and invite others to join or auto-follow all threads in a channel effortlessly.
