Price Lists
As an e-commerce store, you might want to sell your items at a lesser price during certain seasons, or slightly increase the price based on market demands. With Zoho Commerce, you can do so using the price lists feature. Price lists allow you to offer customized prices for your items. You can mark up or mark down the prices based on your customers’ requirements.
Enable Price Lists
The price lists feature will not be enabled by default. You’ll have to enable it manually under Settings. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings in the top right corner of the page.
- Click Items under Sales and Navigate to General tab.
- Mark the Enable Price Lists option and click Save.
- Price Lists will be available on the left sidebar under Items
Create Price Lists
Once you’ve enabled price lists, you can create them from the Items module. Here’s how:
- Go to Price Lists under Items on the left sidebar and click + New Price List.
Create Price Lists for all items
Here’s how you can have custom prices for all your items:
- Click + New Price List.
- Enter a name for the price list. Select All items in the price list type and enter all the necessary details.

Percentage | Enter the Markup or Markdown percentage at which you want to increase or decrease the price of all the items. |
Round Off To | You can choose to round off the item’s rate after the markup or markdown percentage has been applied. |
Create Price Lists for Individual items
Here’s how you can have custom prices for individual items:
- Click + New Price List.
- Enter a name for your price list. Next, select Individual items for the price list type and fill out the other details.

Pricing Scheme | Unit Pricing allows you to create a custom rate which will remain same for all quantities of the item. Volume Pricing lets you have multiple custom rates for different quantities of the of the item. |
Currency | Choose the price list currency |
Discount | You can provide a percentage of discount with the custom price. The discount percentage will be applied only if discount is enabled at the line-item level. |
Unit Pricing for individual items
When you select the pricing scheme as unit pricing, the custom rate will remain same to each unit of that item. In other words, the custom rate for a particular item will be the same irrespective its quantity. Here’s how you can have unit pricing for a price list:
- Click + New Price List.
- Enter a name for your price list. Next, select Individual items for the price list type and choose Unit Pricing as your pricing scheme.
- Enter custom rates for each item and click Save.
Volume Pricing for individual items
When you select the pricing scheme as volume pricing, you can create multiple custom rates for different quantities of the same item. Here’s how you can have unit pricing for a price list:
- Click + New Price List.
- Enter a name for your price list. Next, select Individual items for the price list type and choose Volume Pricing as your pricing scheme.
- Enter the start and end quantity, custom rates for each item and click Save.
Bulk Update custom rate
When you are adding custom rates for multiple items, you can update custom rates in bulk. Here’s how:
- Click + New Price List.
- Enter all the details and select Individual items as the price list type.
- Click Update Rates in Bulk and choose the required items and select update rates in bulk.
- Enter the start and end quantity (only for volume pricing), markup/markdown percentage, and click Update.
Edit Price List
You can edit a price list and make changes to the custom rates. Here’s how:
- Hover over the price list you wish to make changes to and click Edit.
After you make the required changes, click Save.
Mark price list as inactive
Here’s how you can mark a price list as inactive:
- Hover over the price list and click Mark as Inactive.
Delete price list
You can delete a price list if you no longer wish to use it. To do so:
- Hover over the price list and click the bin icon**.**
Note: You cannot delete a price list that has been associated with a item. You can instead mark it as inactive.
Import Price List
You can import price lists to Zoho Commerce in CSV, TSV, or XLS format. To do so:
- Click the three dots present in the top right corner.
- Click Import Sales Price List.
- You will be redirected to the price list import page. Click Choose file and upload the .csv, .tsv, or .xls file.
- Choose the character encoding and file delimiter and click Next.
- Ensure all fields are mapped correctly in the map fields page and click Next.
- Lastly, click Import in the preview page.
The price list will be imported and you will be able to view them in the price lists module.
Export price list
You can export price lists from Zoho Commerce in the .CSV, .TSV, or .XLS format. Here’s how:
- Click the three dots present in the top right corner.
- Click Export Sales Price List.
- Select the export file format and click Export.
The price list will be downloaded to your device in the selected format.
