Cutting through paper, getting through to data

Cutting through paper, getting through to data

Telling people what to do is usually easy. But it isn’t so when you’re offering marketing and consulting services for companies that sell energy products in the US, Canada, and the UK.

Telga Corporation has been around for 19 years in Texan suburbs. And for all that time, they’ve had one way of working.

"We recruit people for different positions for about 48 weeks of the year. It was a very paper-based system and just one week's worth of stats would fill up multiple binders. It was very difficult to turn that data into usable information."

Ouch, that’s got to hurt growth.

But it’s not like they didn’t try. Like most of us, Telga Corp had heard of SharePoint, and they decided to give it a shot.

"It took me 4-5 months with MS SharePoint to get to the point where it was deployable and usable through all my users."

Well, that’s not how you want to work, especially once your customer base crosses the 1.2 million mark.

That’s when they tried Zoho Creator.

"It took me about a week to get things up and running and roll it out to my users."

So now every time Telga plans for recruitment, the team uses their Creator app to schedule interviews, send confirmation emails to applicants with directions to their location, and even share a photo of the building. With the REST API, Telga connects its Zoho Creator application with its HR system, and everything else just falls in line.

Here’s the thing, though. Telga Corporation evaluated Filemaker and Microsoft SharePoint as well. Why did they pick Zoho Creator?

"Zoho Creator for the price, the mobility of it, and the way you can grow it as big as you need to. When you need to add a new field or a new piece of information you want to capture, it's just 2 or 3 clicks of a button."

Telga Corporation helps hundreds of companies build their businesses. To grow their own business, though, they trust Zoho Creator. It matters to us that Telga has us in high regards, and we constantly strive to improve our product to help our customers achieve more.

"It’s almost too easy to build your own database. It's non-technical person's playhouse."

Think Legos. It's a lot like that, we’ve heard.
