[Back](./) # Is deleting an employee from Zoho Payroll the same as terminating them? * * * No. **Deleting** and **terminating** an employee mean different things in Zoho Payroll. You should **delete an employee** only when their profile was created with errors or by mistake. For example, you can delete an employee’s profile if you entered incorrect personal or tax details while onboarding them.
