# Can I change the pay schedule of my Zoho Payroll organization?

Yes, but it depends on the status of your payrolls:

**Payroll Status**

**What You Can Do**

Before processing your first payroll

You can fully update your pay schedule, including the pay frequency and pay date.

After processing your first payroll, but before approving it

You must delete the draft payroll to make changes to the pay schedule.

After processing and approving your first payroll

You can only update the pay date. The pay frequency cannot be changed.
