# Can I skip or edit the income tax deduction for an employee?

No. Zoho Payroll **automatically calculates and deducts federal and provincial income taxes** based on the employee’s tax profile and applicable laws. To ensure compliance, we **do not allow you to skip or edit** these tax amounts manually.
