# How many years of previous payroll data can I import into Zoho Payroll?

You can import prior payroll data only for the **current calendar year**. This is necessary for calculating accurate **year-to-date (YTD) values** for salaries, taxes, benefits, and deductions. Zoho Payroll does not support importing historical data from previous calendar years.
