# How do I create credit note for post-sale discount?

Here’s how to create a Credit Note for post-sale discount:

*   Go to _Sales_ from the left sidebar and select **Credit Notes**.
*   Click the **+New** button.
*   Enter the required details.
*   Go to the Item table section and enter the description as **Post-Sale Discount**.
*   Select the account in which you want to track the discount in the Account field.
*   Click **Save**.
