# How do I link a sales order to a purchase order?

It is not possible to link a sales order to a purchase order. However, when you [convert a sales order into a purchase order](https://www.zoho.com/in/books/help/sales-order/convert-to-po.html), Zoho Books will record that in the **Comments & History** section.

To check if a sales order has been converted into a purchase order:

*   Go to the **Sales Orders** module under _Sales_ on the left sidebar.
*   Open a sales order.
*   Click **Comments & History** in the top right corner of the sales order’s details page.

Here, you will be able to find a comment “**Purchase order raised for Sales order**”.

To check if a purchase order was created by converting a sales order:

*   Go to the **Purchase Orders** module under _Purchases_ on the left sidebar.
*   Open a purchase order.
*   Click **Comments & History** in the top right corner of the purchase order’s details page.

Here, you will be able to find a comment “**Purchase order created from Sales order**”.
