Beat Management - Preferences
Beat Management Preferences let you set rules for how field activity is managed across beats. You can control whether salespersons need to be near a customer’s location to check in, track their location during a beat, and define what delivery agents must submit before completing a delivery.
To access the Beats preferences:
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to the Module Settings section.
- Click Beats under Distribution. The Preferences tab opens by default.

Note: For the primary contact or any contact person to receive the verification code via SMS, their phone number must be entered in the Mobile field of the customer record. Numbers entered in the Work Phone field will not receive the code. Deliveries cannot be completed if the selected contact person’s Mobile field is empty.
