Other Actions for Locations

Let’s have a look at all the other actions you can perform on locations:

Mark Location as Primary

By default, the organization’s initial details will be captured under the Head Office and will be marked as primary. You can, however, create a location and mark that as primary as well. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings.
  • Select Locations under Organisation.
  • Hover over a location and select Mark as Primary from the dropdown next to it or click the Mark as Primary icon next to the location name to set the location as primary.

Edit Location

To edit a location:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings.
  • Select Locations under Organisation.
  • Hover over a location and click Edit from the dropdown next to it.
  • Make the necessary changes and click Save.

Delete/Mark Location as Inactive

To delete/Mark a location as inactive:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings.
  • Select Locations under Organization.
  • Hover over a location and click Delete/Mark as Inactive from the dropdown next to it.

Edit Bin Locations

To update and manage the specific zones within a warehouse where bins are located:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings and select Locations under Organization.
  • Click the associated zones in the location where you want to edit bins.
  • Hover over the zone you would like to edit and click the Edit icon on the right.
  • Make the necessary changes and click Save.

Delete Bin Locations

Warning: Once you start associating a bin location to transactions, you won’t be able to edit, disable, or delete bin locations.

You can remove specific bins within a warehouse that are no longer needed, ensuring the inventory system remains up to date. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings and select Locations under Organization.
  • Click the associated zones in the location where you want to delete bins.
  • Hover over the zone you would like to delete.
  • Click the Trash icon on the right corner.
  • Click Delete on the pop-up to confirm.

Disable Bin Locations

  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Organization Settings and select Locations under Organization.
  • Hover over the location you’d like to disable bin locations for.
  • Click the dropdown next to it and select Disable Bin Locations.
