Zoho People Plus Suite
Zoho People Plus is an integrated suite of applications designed exclusively for HR operations such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Core HR, and Employee Engagement. Learn more about the Zoho People Plus suite.
Zoho Payroll is a part of the Zoho People Plus suite. Once you’ve purchased user licences in Zoho People Plus, you can access Zoho Payroll and process your employees’ payroll through it.
Here’s how you can access Zoho Payroll from Zoho People Plus.
- Go to Zoho People Plus. If you’re just getting started, complete the quick setup and enter your company information.


- If you do not have an existing Zoho Payroll organisation, here’s how you can connect and access Zoho Payroll from your Zoho People Plus organisation.
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
- Click Admin Panel at the bottom.
- Click Zoho Payroll, and you’ll be able to open the Zoho Payroll app, assign users, and configure Settings.


- If you already have an organisation in Zoho Payroll (that was created with the same email ID you used to create Zoho People), Zoho Payroll will be automatically connected with your Zoho People Plus organisation.

- If you have multiple Zoho Payroll organisations, you will be prompted to select an organisation that you wish to connect to Zoho Payroll.
- Once you select an organisation and click Done, the Zoho Payroll organisation you’ve selected will be connected to Zoho People Plus.

Configure Settings
Here’s how you can configure settings such as the details you want to fetch from Zoho People Plus to Zoho Payroll and the ability to sync Loss of Pay (LOP) from Zoho People:
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
- Click Admin Panel at the bottom.
- Click Zoho Payroll and click Settings. You’ll be redirected to the Settings module of Zoho Payroll.
- Navigate to Integrations and select Zoho Apps.
- Click View Details next to Zoho People.
- Select the Work Locations and Employee Types you want to fetch from Zoho People.

- Select if you want to fetch employee profiles and enable employee portal for those synced from Zoho People.
- Next, select if you want to sync LOP details from Zoho People.
- Click Save.

Assign Users to Zoho Payroll
Here’s how you can assign users from Zoho People Plus to manage Zoho Payroll:
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
- Click Admin Panel at the bottom.
- Click Zoho Payroll and click Assign Users.
- Select the user, their type, and role.

- Click Assign.
These users you assign here will be able to access and manage payroll based on permissions configured for their role.
Accessing Zoho Payroll from Zoho People Plus
Here’s how you can access Zoho Payroll to manage payroll for your employees from Zoho People Plus:
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
- Click Admin Panel at the bottom.
- Click Zoho Payroll and click the open app icon or click copy app link and paste it in a new tab.
Disabling Zoho Payroll in Zoho People Plus
You cannot disable the integration unless you remove Zoho Payroll from the Zoho People Plus suite. Contact support@zohopeopleplus.com or support@zohopayroll.com to remove Zoho Payroll from the suite.
