# Custom Module Preferences

## Fields & Tables

To fully craft a custom module in Zoho Commerce, you can use the form builder to add fields of different data types and tables to the module. Read our help document on the [Basic Functions of a Custom Module](/en-us/commerce/help/custom-modules/basic-functions/) to learn more.

### Validation Rules

With Validation Rules, you can create rules to set restrictions for the data being recorded.

### Custom Buttons

You can create new buttons in the custom module to perform specific actions for your records, or to open external links. You can create them using a Deluge script and execute actions based on the functions you add.

You can convert a custom module’s records into records of another custom module or a default module using the Record Conversion Button. ## Related Lists

Related Lists allows you to fetch and view data from within the app as well as from other third-party services. This comes in handy when you want to cross-reference data from different entities.

## Blueprints

Blueprints are the online representation of a business process. In Zoho Commerce, you can use Blueprints to design a process flow using states and transitions. They guide your team through the workflow, validate essential information, and automate the business processes managed via Custom Modules.
