Overview - Bills of Entry

A bill of entry is used to record customs duty and other charges you incur when importing goods from overseas or Special Economic Zone (SEZ) vendors. You can create a bill of entry for line items from one or multiple bills of the same vendor. It helps you record the customs details for the imported goods and associate them with the relevant bills.

Scenario: Ravi at Zylker Imports receives a shipment from an overseas supplier with three bills. He needs to allocate the customs duty across the relevant line items. Using Zoho Books, Ravi creates a single bill of entry, adds the required line items from different bills, and allocates the duty as landed cost.
