# I’m attempting to mark the branch as active, but it indicates that the associated GST setting is inactive. How can I resolve this?

To mark the GSTIN as active:

*   Go to **Settings**, then _Taxes & Compliance_.
*   Choose _Taxes_. In this page, you will find a list of all created GSTINs under _GST settings_.
*   Click the specific GSTIN that needs to be marked as active and click **Mark as Active** to activate the GSTIN.

Once you have marked the GSTIN as active, you can proceed to mark the branch as active. Here’s how:

*   Go to **Settings**, then _Organization_.
*   Choose _Branches_.
*   In the branches settings page, hover over the desired branch and click the drop-down menu. From the list, select **Mark as Active**.
