# Can I disable the Branch feature in my Zoho Books organization?

**Warning:** You cannot _delete_ or _mark the **primary branch** as inactive_. You can only _edit_ the details of the primary branch.

No, once you enable the Branches feature in Zoho Books, you cannot disable it. However, you can delete or mark individual branches as inactive. Here’s how:

*   Go to _Settings_ on the top right corner of the page.
*   Select **Branches** under _Organization_.
*   In the Branches settings page, hover over the branch that you want to delete or mark as inactive and click the dropdown next to the branch.
*   Select either **Delete** or **Mark as Inactive** based on the action you want to perform.

**Note:** Deleting a branch is possible only if there are no transactions associated with it. If a branch has transactions linked to it, then the alternative is to mark it as inactive instead of deleting.
