[Back](./) # What are the different transaction types in an e-way bill? The Transaction Type field refers to the type of transaction taking place between the parties involved in the movement of goods. The factors that determine the transaction type are: * **Bill-From**: The person or organisation sending the goods. * **Dispatch-From**: The place from where the goods are dispatched. * **Bill-To**: The person or organisation who placed the order and is paying for the goods. * **Ship-To**: The person or organisation who will receive the order. The transaction type of the e-way bill is based on the address type of your organisation (bill from and dispatch from addresses) and your customer (bill to and shipto addresses). In the _e-Way Bills_ module, you can choose the transaction type of an e-way bill from the _Transaction Type_ field. The options available in the _Transaction Type_ field are: 1. Regular 2. Bill To - Ship To 3. Bill From - Dispatch From 4. Combination of 2 and 3 1\. **Regular**: Choose _Regular_ if only two parties are involved in the movement of goods i.e., you and your customer. In this case, the Dispatch From address will be the same as the Bill From address, and the Ship To address will be the same as the Bill To address. 2\. **Bill To - Ship To**: Choose _Bill To - Ship To_ if there are three parties involved in the movement of goods i.e., you, your customer, and the party receiving the goods. In this case, the Dispatch From address will be the same as the Bill From address whereas the Bill To and Ship To addresses will be different. 3\. **Bill From - Dispatch From**: Choose _Bill From - Dispatch From_ if there are three parties involved in the movement of goods i.e., you, the party sending the goods, and your customer. In this case, the Bill From and Dispatch From addresses will be different whereas the Ship To address will be the same as the Bill To address. 4\. **Combination of 2 and 3**: Choose _Combination of 2 and 3_ if there are four parties involved in the movement of goods i.e., you, the party sending the goods, your customer, and the party receiving the goods. In this case, the Bill From, Dispatch From, Bill To, and Ship To addresses will be different. * * *
