# Can I generate an e-way bill for an invoice that is more than 180 days old?

E-Way Bills cannot be generated for invoices that are more than 180 days old.

For example, if an e-way bill is generated on January 1, 2025, the invoice date should not be earlier than July 5, 2024.

Similarly, when generating a Part-A slip, the invoice date should not exceed 180 days from the current date. This rule also applies when updating Part-B details for consolidating e-way bills.

**Note:** This validation is effective starting **1st January 2025.**
