# When should I generate e-way bills?

You have to generate e-way bills when the total value of goods transported in a single vehicle exceeds 50,000 rupees. However, for the movement of handicraft goods or goods for job work purposes under specific circumstances, e-way bills are required even if the total value of the goods transported is less than 50,000 rupees.
