# Do I need to update the new GST rates in Zoho Books?

Yes, the new GST rates should be updated in Zoho Books on or before 22nd September, 2025. You can [schedule to update](/in/books/taxes/update-tax-rate-steps.html) the new tax rates using the _GST Slabs Redefined_ banner available on your organisation’s _Home page_. Failing to update the GST rates may lead to compliance issues while filing your GST retuns.
