Can a business representative be the business owner and vice versa?
Yes, a business representative can also be the business owner. Zoho Payments lets you easily add the Ownership Percentage while entering the representative details and auto-populates them for you in the Business Owners section.
To add the business representative as a business owner:
- Go to Settings and select Business Representative.
- Scroll down and check the This person is a business owner option.
- Enter the Ownership Percentage.
- Check the I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Zoho Payments option.
- Click Save.
Note: It is mandatory to check the This person is a business owner option if the business representative owns 25% or more of the company.
Once verified, Zoho Payments will update the business representative as a business owner. You may need to provide additional details or documents to complete the verification process.
Note: If you are an Individual, Sole Proprietor or you run a Single Member LLC, the business representative and business owner will be considered as one.
