Prerequisites

1. Set User email visibility to Public in Jira (Portal Admin).
   
2. Jira Cloud users: Go to Profile and Visibility > Email Address and set visibility to Anyone to include user data in the import.
   
3. Jira Server users: Go to Settings > System > Email Visibility (under Options) and select Public or Show logged-in users to allow data import.
   
4. If using Jira Server, ensure the server is accessible over the web.

Standard Field Mapping

1.  Only the supported custom field types listed in the table will be imported. Other fields will not be included. 
   
2.  The import supports Jira issues, attachments, custom fields, and statuses. Automation associated with statuses will not be imported.
   
3.  Zoho Projects / Zoho BugTracker supports these below custom fields:
   
1.  80 single-line text + pick-list fields + URL fields
   
2.  30 multi-line text fields 
   
3.  40 date and date and time fields 
   
4.  20 user pick-list fields 
   
5. 10 multi-user pick list fields
6. 15 decimal fields
   
7. 10 multi select pick list fields
4.  Jira Admin role users will be imported as "Admin" in Zoho Projects. 
   
5.  All other user roles will be imported as "Employee" in Zoho Projects. 
   
6.  Automation associated with issues in Jira will not be imported, and you can manually configure the workflow rules for issues in Zoho Projects. 
   
7.  Zoho Projects does not support associating an issue with multiple Phases. 
   

Import Your Projects Data From Jira

1. Click the settings icon in the upper-right corner of the top navigation bar.
   
2. Select Imports under Data Administration.
   
3. Navigate to the Jira Import tab and click Start Import.
   
4. Select your portal and enter the Jira domain address on the Jira Migration page.
   
   
5. Click Continue.
   
6. Copy the details on this screen and then click Configure in Jira.
   
   
7. You will be redirected to your Jira account.
   

Configure Jira to Link with Zoho Projects

1. In Jira, go to Integrations > Application Links, then click Create Link.
   
2. Select Direct application link as the link type.
   
3. Enter the Zoho Projects portal address in the Application URL field to link Jira with Zoho Projects.
   
4. Review the new URL in the Configure Application URL prompt and click Continue.
   
1. If an Application URL is already configured in Jira, delete the existing application link and reconfigure it to proceed with the import.
   
5. In the Review Link prompt, enter an Application Name (user-defined).
   
6. Select the Create incoming link checkbox in Link Applications, then click Continue.
   
7. In the next prompt, enter the Consumer Key, Consumer Name, and Public Key, then click Continue.
   
1. The Consumer Name is user-defined.
   
8. You can copy these details from the Jira Migration page in Zoho Projects.
   
9. A confirmation message will be displayed once the new link is successfully created.
   
   

Authenticate and Import Data

1. Return to Zoho Projects and click Complete Configuration in the Jira Migration page.
   
2. Select All Projects or specific projects to import, then click Continue.
   
3. Choose your Preferences. If you want Jira issue IDs to be appended to task or issue titles, check the Associate Jira issue IDs to task or issue title box.
   
   
4. ​Click Continue.
   
5. The import will be scheduled, and an email notification with the import details will be sent to the administrator.
