What is an EML viewer?

An email viewer is a tool that allows you to view .eml files. The extension .eml stands for electronic mail and was first developed by Microsoft Office. These .eml files are generated when you want to send your email as an attachment or save them locally on your computer. Since it passes all the essential standards, these files are compatible with most email clients.

An .eml file is generally a plain text format as it mostly contains emails. The file can comprise both plain and html files intact without any alterations to the content.The top of the file contains all the header information like sender, receiver details, subject, the creation date of the email, and more details, while the bottom part holds the content of the email and attachments, if any.
