[Back](./) # Is it possible to change my NINO after fetching obligations? Once obligations have been fetched from HMRC, the National Insurance Number (NINO) cannot be changed. If you need to use a different NINO, you must: * [Disconnect](https://www.zoho.com/uk/books/help/mtd-it/making-tax-digital.html#disconnect) the existing HMRC connection. * [Reconnect](https://www.zoho.com/uk/books/help/mtd-it/making-tax-digital.html#enable) to HMRC using the correct NINO. **Note:** Similarly, to change the business selected from HMRC, you must disconnect and reconnect to apply the new selection.
