Under UK automatic enrolment rules, most employers must assess their workforce and enrol eligible employees into a qualifying pension scheme. You then pay contributions into that scheme on a regular basis. In Zoho Payroll, the **Pensions** module is where you manage this. You record when your workplace pension duties begin, then connect a pension provider such as Nest, The People’s Pension, or another provider. Next, you choose how tax relief applies, which earnings count toward contributions, and what percentage you and your employees pay. Employees who share the same tax relief type, earnings basis, and contribution rates belong to one **contribution group**. If some employees need different tax relief, earnings basis, or rates, you can create another group for them. Once that is in place, Zoho Payroll assesses employees, tracks their enrolment status, and calculates contributions in each pay run. You can then export those contribution details and send them to your provider so they can update each employee’s pension record. ![Set up your workplace pensions empty state in Zoho Payroll](/payroll/help/uk/pensions/pensions-empty-state.png) * * * ## In This Section * [Set up pension providers](/uk/payroll/help/employer/pensions/set-up-pension-providers.html): duties dates, provider details, tax relief, and contribution rates. * [Manage pension providers](/uk/payroll/help/employer/pensions/manage-pension-providers.html): edit or delete a provider, and add contribution groups. * [Manage pension employees](/uk/payroll/help/employer/pensions/manage-pension-employees.html): add employees to groups and understand enrolment statuses. * [Contribution history](/uk/payroll/help/employer/pensions/contribution-history.html): view and export contributions after pay runs. * * * ## The Pensions Page After you’ve added a provider, the Pensions page summarises your scheme.
