How does migrating from warehouses and/or Branches to Locations affect my Zoho Books organization?

Migrating Only Warehouses

If your organization has only Warehouses and you’ve migrated to Locations, your Head Office will be converted into a Business Location (parent location), while all your other warehouses will become Warehouse Locations (child location). Your warehouses will be organized in a parent-child hierarchy with business locations and warehouse locations.

Migrating Only Branches

If your organization has only branches and you’ve migrated to locations, all your branches will be converted into business locations, which will inherit the characteristics of warehouse locations.

Migrating Both Branches and Warehouses

If your organization has both branches and warehouses, and you’ve migrated to locations, all your branches will be converted into Business Locations, and all your warehouses will be converted into Warehouse Locations.

Once migrated, you can associate these locations with transactions, track stock levels, and manage inventory more efficiently. Additionally, you can monitor the performance and growth of specific locations by filtering reports based on business locations.
