# After the initial sync, when the stock is updated in a sales channel, will it also be updated in Zoho Inventory?

*   When a sales channel item is synced into Zoho Inventory for the first time as an unconfirmed item, its marketplace stock becomes its opening stock.
*   If the item is already present in Zoho Inventory, then the sales channel item will be mapped with the inventory item and its marketplace stock will not be considered.
*   After the inital sync, if the stock has changed in the sales channel, it will not be updated in Zoho Inventory.
