Is deleting an employee from Zoho Payroll the same as terminating them?
No. Deleting and terminating an employee mean different things in Zoho Payroll.
You should delete an employee only when their profile was created with errors or by mistake. For example, you can delete an employee’s profile if you entered incorrect personal or tax details while onboarding them. However, deletion is only possible if the employee:
- Has not been included in any pay run
- Has no associated deductions, benefits, or time-off policies
