Introducing Conditional Rules for Multi-Page Forms in Zoho Forms

Last year, we introduced Multi-Page Forms to better address the needs of our users.

You could now collect form responses in a more organized manner, without exhausting your respondents. Splitting long forms into separate pages not only simplifies the process but also makes it easier on the eyes.

To add even more value, we're introducing Page Rules - a feature that lets respondents navigate to different pages of your form based on their answers. With page rules set up for your multi-page forms, you can have users skip to particular pages when certain conditions are met.

To understand how this works, let's look at an example.

You need to request a new laptop at your office. So, you fill out the IT Asset Request Form. On this form, you choose the laptop based on requirements which best suit your needs at work. You also select the laptop brand, the amount of RAM, and the storage capacity. You then specify the tentative date you'll require the laptop.

By now, you might be wondering where page rules come into play.

As we know, with the help of page rules, a form respondent can be directed to a particular page based on their answer. So, if you'd like to use a laptop with Windows OS, you'll be directed to the page where all the details related to Windows OS laptops are displayed. Meanwhile, if you're more comfortable with MacOS, you'll be sent to the pages with just Apple laptops.

"How can such a useful feature be so simple," you might ask.

Well, if you'd like to get to know page rules a little better, take a look at our step-by-step guide.

And if you decide to give it a try, comment below to let us know how you used page rules to make your multi-page forms more interesting for your respondents.
