Enhancements in Custom Reports

You can now create a custom report from scratch by selecting a parent module, such as Trips, Expenses, or Reports, and adding related child modules to view the desired data in a single report. You can also clone an existing custom report to use it as a starting point for a new one. Additionally, Other User Reports is now available as a tab under My Reports.

Enhancements in Analytics List Page

• We've redesigned the Analytics list page to give you faster access to your reports and deeper visibility.

• All your reports are now available under the Home tab in the left pane of the Analytics list page, making it easier to navigate.

• Reports you've marked as favorites now appear under the Favourites tab for easier access.

• Scheduled reports are now displayed under the Scheduled Reports tab on the Analytics list page for better visibility. This tab lists all reports that are scheduled to be generated and sent out. Additionally, click any scheduled report to see exactly who it was sent to, when, and other details.

• Using Layout Customizations from the Analytics list page you can now tailor how reports look before you export or print them.

Restricting Expenses by Merchant Category Codes

You can now restrict merchant category codes (MCCs) to automatically flag non-compliant expenses, such as gambling, betting, etc. When an expense from a restricted MCC is submitted, Zoho Expense triggers an audit violation, helping approvers and admins identify policy breaches without manual review. This feature is available only for organizations using Direct Feed Integration and Real-Time Feeds.

Zoho Expense - Axis Bank Integration [India Edition]

You can now integrate Zoho Expense with Axis Bank to reimburse employee expenses and pay employee advances online directly from Zoho Expense. This integration is available to users of the India edition of Zoho Expense created under the zoho.in domain (a domain registered for use in India). You can pay advances online via Axis Bank using the Pay Advance option on the advance details page and send reimbursements directly to your employees' bank accounts from Zoho Expense.

Associate Account Users with Petty Cash Accounts

When creating a petty cash account, you can now add account users directly from the account creation page. The assigned account owner can also manage their account users. Additionally, you can enable the Allow account users to manage their own top-ups preference in the Petty Cash Account settings.

User Language Support (Early Access)

Employees can now select a preferred language for Zoho Expense that differs from your organization's default language. However, selecting a language translates only Zoho Expense's built-in text; inputs you've created, like categories, tags, violation messages, custom modules, and custom fields, aren't translated automatically. You can now export a translation file, fill in the translated content, and upload it under Translations in Settings so employees see them in their preferred language as well. Enhancements in Custom Modules

• You can now customize the primary display field used to identify a record in lists, and lookups.

• The new Layout Builder lets you group fields into sections and arrange them in a two-column layout. Additionally, add table fields with summary sections that show totals and other aggregate values below the table.

• The Records List page adds more export capabilities, such as, exporting records using Export Templates, filtering exports by a Date Range, exporting the current filtered view using Export Current View, and choosing whether to include or exclude table data in exports.

• From the Records List page, you can export records with more options, customize the table view, and send bulk emails. The new Record Details page lets you email the record, send, download, or print its PDF, attach documents, preview generated PDFs inline, add comments, and view its history.

• Custom fields now support hyperlinks for URL fields, data type changes after field creation, duplicate prevention for Lookup fields, and Date fields that support dynamic default values like Today, Tomorrow, and more which are pre-filled when the form loads.

• Custom Buttons now support input arguments (a button can prompt users to enter a payment reference number), and Validation Rules now support formulas for more advanced business logic.

Include Report Documents When Exporting a Report as PDF

You can now export a report as PDF along with the report documents attached to it, making it easier to share and access all related files in one place. In the exported PDF, expense documents are listed first, followed by report documents. To include report documents, enable the Attach Report Documents checkbox while customizing a PDF template in Settings.

Approve or Reject Reports and Trips from WhatsApp

Approvers can now approve or reject expense reports and trips directly from WhatsApp using quick reply buttons, Approve and Reject, along with a button to view full details in the notification. You can configure these under WhatsApp Notifications in Settings. Additionally, when a report or trip is forwarded to the next approver, they will receive a WhatsApp notification, helping them take action without delay.

You can request access to online booking and set up travel policies with booking limits and conditions. Based on these policies, employees will be warned or blocked when they try to make out-of-policy flight or hotel bookings. Cancel Batch Payments

Admins can now cancel an offline batch payment that is in Exported or Processed status. When a batch is cancelled, all the expense reports in that batch will be reverted from Reimbursed to Approved status. You can then create a new batch with the same reports or reimburse them individually.

iOS App Updates

You can now add your travel address, choose your travel route, and view it on the map while creating mileage expenses using GPS. The distance travelled will be automatically calculated based on the inputs. These details will also be displayed on the expense details screen. New Custom Approval Option in Purchase Requests

We have supported a new criterion Project Heads of Purchase Request Items in the custom approvals of the Purchase Requests module. When configured, the purchase request is submitted to the heads of the projects associated with the line items. If the line items are linked to different projects, the purchase request will be submitted to the respective project heads in the order of the line items. The purchase request will be marked as Approved after all project heads have given their approval.

Add Mastercards in Bulk for Real-Time Feeds [US, UK, and Canada Editions]

You can now add Mastercards in bulk to Zoho Expense and fetch feeds instantly. If you couldn't add your card to Zoho Expense individually as it supports only bulk enrolment, you can now submit a request to connect the corporate cards and fetch feeds directly from the card provider by providing the necessary details, including the Bank Name, Card Provider, and Number of Cards that needs to be added and we will contact you at your email address and assist you with adding the cards.

Launching the all-new Germany edition in Zoho Expense! Android App Updates

Now, you can upload up to 5 receipts at a time for autoscan from third party applications. If you enter the odometer start reading to create a mileage expense and put the app to background or the phone shuts down, the next time you open the app, the odometer reading will be remembered and prefilled so that you can create a mileage expense with the same reading without having to enter it again. In the Approvals module, when you view a report PDF, you can now select a template by which you would like to view the PDF. While creating an expense, if you enter a new merchant, the merchant details will be saved. Later, when you create new expenses and select that merchant, the expense category will be auto-filled. If you want to record a personal expense, you can now mark it as personal and it will be automatically created as a non-reimbursable expense.
