What does “Save this card as per RBI guidelines” mean?

When you choose to save your card, it isn’t stored as-is. Instead, it’s securely converted into a digital token in accordance with RBI guidelines. This lets you make faster payments to the same merchant without entering your card details again.

Under RBI guidelines, businesses and payment service providers can’t store your full card details. Instead, your actual card number stays securely with your card issuer and card network, while Zoho Payments stores only a token that represents your card for this specific merchant.

Saving your card is completely optional. Your card is saved only after you provide your consent and complete OTP verification, as required by RBI guidelines.
