Add an Organization
If you have multiple businesses and want to manage them separately, you can add organisations in Zoho Books. Here’s how:
- Click the Organisation Name dropdown in the top right corner, and select Manage from the panel that appears.
- In the next page, click + New Organisation.
- In the popup, choose either Clone Settings to copy settings from an existing organisation, or Add New Organisation to create a new one. If you select Clone Settings, enter the name of your new organisation, choose the organisation and the settings to clone, and click Clone.
- If you select Add New Organisation, enter the Organisation Name and Organisation Location, and click Let’s get started!.
- In the Set up your Organisation Profile page, enter the necessary details and click Get Started.
Now, the new organisation will be created successfully.
Change Your Organization Name
To change your organisation name:
- Log in to your Zoho Books organisation.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Profile under Organisation.
- In the Organisation Name field, enter the new name for your organisation.
- Scroll down and click Save.
Now, the organisation name will be updated to the new one you entered.
Switch Between Organizations
To switch between organisations:
- Log in to your Zoho Books organisation.
- Click the Organisation Name in the top right corner.
- In the right pane that appears, select the organisation you want to switch to.
Change the Default Organization
To change your default organisation:
- Log in to your Zoho Books organisation.
- Click the Organisation Name dropdown in the top right corner, and select Manage from the panel that appears.
- Under My Organisations, hover over the organisation you want to delete, click the dropdown to the right, and select Mark as Default.
Quick Create
You can quickly add customers, vendors, create sales and purchase transactions, and more by using the Quick Create button. Here’s how:
- Log in to your Zoho Books organisation.
- Click the + icon in the top right corner.
- From the listed modules, select the one for which you want to create a new entry.
View In-App Notifications
You can view all in-app notifications directly within the app. When a transaction is accepted by the customer or an action occurs in any module, a notification describing the action will appear in the Notifications panel. To view these notifications:
- Log in to your Zoho Books organisation.
- Click the Notifications icon in the top right corner.
Now, all in-app notifications will be displayed in the right panel.
