End of Support - Product Support Life Cycle Information

Zoho continuously enhances its enterprise software solutions to provide cutting-edge features, improved security, and optimal performance. As part of this ongoing improvement process, legacy versions of our products are gradually phased out, starting with an End of Support (EOS) announcement.

Zoho will discontinue technical support for Zoho Creator version 2.0.0 and below, effective August 31, 2025

After this date, these versions will no longer receive updates, security patches, or technical assistance. We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version to take advantage of new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and continued technical support. Most importantly, the latest versions include critical security updates to protect your data and ensure a secure user experience.

Note: Zoho will not be liable for any security or performance issues caused by EOS versions. The ability to deliver a seamless experience depends on customers upgrading to the latest versions as they become available.

Managing different versions allows you to maintain stability, and ensure compatibility with the latest updates. You can upgrade to the latest version of Zoho Creator here.

Why you should upgrade from an EOS Version

Continuing to use End of Support (EOS) versions poses several risks, including:

  • Increased security risks due to unpatched vulnerabilities
  • Limited features compared to newer versions
  • Compliance issues that may arise over time
  • Higher operational costs due to potential data breaches or revenue loss from downtime

Version Support Policy

  • Major release versions (X.0.0) introduce significant changes such as major features, UI overhauls, or architectural updates. Support for major versions will be determined based on the product roadmap and strategic priorities.
  • Minor release versions (X.Y.0) include new features, enhancements, and optimizations. These versions will receive long-term support for a minimum of 12 months from their release date.
  • Patch release versions (X.Y.Z) address bug fixes, security updates, and minor improvements. These versions will receive short-term support until the next minor release becomes available.

We recommend upgrading to the latest minor version if you're currently using a patch release to ensure continued support and updates.

1. What is the purpose of the EOS policy?
The End of Support (EOS) policy ensures that older versions receive a fixed period of updates and support before being retired, encouraging users to upgrade to newer, more secure, and feature-rich versions.

2. How is End of Support different from End of Life?
End of Support (EOS) means that after the specified date, users will no longer receive technical support or be able to renew their Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) contracts. However, they can continue using the software at their own risk.
End of Life (EOL) means the software is completely discontinued, and no further updates, fixes, or support will be provided. 
Please note that the specified Zoho Zoho Creator versions are approaching End of Support (EOS), not End of Life (EOL). While support and maintenance will no longer be available, the software can still be used at your own risk.

3. How long will a version be fully supported?
Minor versions are fully supported for a minimum of from 12 months its release date.

4. How will Zoho Creator announce EOS for a version?
To maximise visibility and ensure widespread dissemination, EOS announcements are communicated through in-product banners for customers using an EOS version, ensuring they receive the message.

5. How far in advance will EOS be announced?
EOS for a version will be announced six months before its last support date, giving users enough time to plan and execute the upgrade process.

6. Is the upgrade free of cost?
Yes, upgrades are free of cost, provided you have an active AMS contract.

7. How can expired AMS contracts be renewed?
Expired AMS (Annual Maintenance and Support) contracts can be renewed by reaching out to our support team support@zohocreator.com. Renewal options and pricing depend on the duration of inactivity and the chosen upgrade path
