Functions in Locations
Once you’ve created the locations, associated the transaction series, and added the users, you can start associating the locations to transactions.
IN THIS PAGE…
Let’s explore how you can do this in Zoho Inventory:
Associate Locations to Transactions
You can associate locations with all your sales transactions and purchase transactions. Let’s look at an example of how you can associate a location to an invoice:
- Go to Invoices on the left sidebar and click + New.
- Select the Customer Name
- Select the Location and Invoice Date.
- The Invoice # will be auto-generated. You can also manually generate them by clicking the Gear icon.
- Enter other details and click Save.
Similarly, you will be able to create transactions and associate locations with other modules as well.
Pro tip: If you’ve been tracking a location’s transactions separately, you can import them into your organisation along with the location and map them appropriately.
View Dashboard
By associating locations with transactions, you can easily view each location’s performance directly from the dashboard. Here’s how:
- Go to Home on the left sidebar.
- Navigate to the Default Dashboard tab.
- Click the All Locations dropdown in the top left.
- Select the location whose details you need to view.
Marketplace Integration
Integrate Locations with marketplaces to streamline stock management:
- Item Stock Updates: Sync and update stock based on location mappings.
- Shopify Location Mapping: Map Shopify Locations to Zoho Inventory Locations.
- Amazon FBA Mapping: Track stock by mapping Locations to Amazon FBA warehouses.
Changes in Inventory Modules

Different Business Locations:
- Valuation performed at parent Business Locations.
Transfers between Business and Warehouse Locations:
