Payroll Summary
The Payroll Summary report gives an organisation-level view of payroll for a selected period (for example the current tax year). It groups pay components into earnings, benefits, deductions, and taxes, and shows total net pay.

View the Payroll Summary
- Go to Reports on the left sidebar.
- Under Payroll Overview, open Payroll Summary (or find it under All Reports).
- Set the Date Range, then click Run Report. Use the filter, compare, schedule, and export options described below.
What the report shows
| Section | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Earnings | Pay components such as Basic Pay and statutory payments (for example Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, and Statutory Sick Pay), with Total Gross Pay. |
| Benefits | Benefit and pension-related amounts shown for the period (for example relief at source or salary sacrifice lines, where used). |
| Deductions | Employee deductions such as student or postgraduate loans, other deductions, and attachments of earnings. |
| Taxes | Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and National Insurance, with Total Taxes. |
Each section shows component lines and a section total (for example Total Gross Pay under Earnings).
